I decided to host a live wine tasting party to coincide with an online event. It seemed like the perfect excuse to host a Girls Night In, so I
I shopped for goodies to eat...on an empty stomach. Why do I never learn? I nearly left with the entire store. I'm pretty sure I left with at least one item from every aisle. My cart was brimming with Tiramisu, Tropical tarts, mini Mediterranean pizzas, quiche and hummus. (Just to name a few things.)

I was really looking forward to going all out, I even set the table with LINEN...yes sir, no paper napkins for us. It was an all out food and wine fest!

Who says Twitter parties are boring?

We had a blast. And you know it was a mom blogging event because in the midst of our linen napkins and wine glasses we had 4 laptops going simultaneously. There is nothing quite as geeky as joking from right across the table with someone on Twitter. It was a riot!

After the official wine tasting event was over we put away the laptops and ate and ate and ate. Oh yeah and we talked too; real, live and in person. It was just great to have an evening OFF to have some fun and connect with friends right here at home.
Disclosure: Fresh&Easy provided the delicious wine. I supplied the friends, food and festivities for Girls Night In. All opinions are solely mine, as are the left overs.
